Plenty is on the line Sunday at the 2025 Truist Championship with a huge winner’s share of a $20 million purse up for grabs along with a trophy in the final PGA Tour event before next week’s PGA Championship. Shane Lowry and Sepp Straka enter the final 18 holes with a three-shot lead on the field, though the likes of Justin Thomas, early leader Keith Mitchell and Hideki Matsuyama are all in pursuit.
Thomas in particular is a name to watch given he recently got off the schneid with a victory, though he’s not the only big name in contention. Many will be eying Rory Mcilroy, who alongside the likes of Sungjae Im and Tony Finau sit six back of Lowry and Straka — just close enough to be in striking distance if everything falls apart for the leaders. The final round in Philadelphia will not only have money and FedEx Cup points on the line but an opportunity to build necessary momentum ahead of the year’s second major.
