The Clear Lake girls golf team secured gold here Monday at the North Central Conference meet for a fifth consecutive time.
The Lions, led by medalist Elle Ebeling, shot a 380 to hold off Algona by 10 strokes. Clarion-Goldfield/Dows was third followed by Humboldt, Webster City, Iowa Falls-Alden, Hampton-Dumont/CAL and St. Edmond.
Ebeling shot an 86 with Algona’s Lainey Venteicher earning runner-up status with a 92. Humboldt’s Sophia List was fourth and Maddie Askvig of Clarion-Goldfield/Dows placed fifth.
For the Gaels, Nora Lee was 35th overall and Ann Veneziano finished 41st.
Algona’s Gabby Venteicher, Ella Welp and Lainey Steuck all finished inside of the Top-10. Webster City’s top finisher was Mylie Keller, who was 18th.
