CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – A brand-new high-tech golf range could be coming to Uptown Charlotte.

RangeWorks (the company) is eyeing a spring 2026 opening in the area of West Morehead Street near Interstate 77.

The new, fully enclosed netted facility would have 36 hitting bays and a playing area, which officials said is about the size of a football field.

“You come, park your car, grab your clubs, get better at golf in an hour, and leave,” said George Mattingly, founder of RangeWorks. “If you want some food and beverage, great, but that is not the focus. The focus is on getting better at golf.”

It’s important to note that the city needs to approve the proposal, and a vote on that is expected in the coming weeks.

The company provided renderings of what the golf range would look like. Those can be seen below.
