Boardman, Ohio — Junior Neeranuch Prajunpanich matched the school record for lowest 18-hole performance to earn medalist honors and lead the Youngstown State women’s golf team to victory at the YSU Kickoff on Monday at Mill Creek Golf Course.

Prajunpanich fired a career-low and bogey-free round of 64 to finish at eight under par and claim medalist honors by 11 strokes. The Samut Prakan, Thailand, native matched the single-round school record of 64 that was set by Katlyn Shutt (2017-21) at the Roseann Schwartz Invitational on Sept. 4, 2018. Prajunpanich carded 11 pars, six birdies and an eagle on the par-five No. 7 on Mill Creek’s North Course during her historic round.

With two individual victories in the first two tournaments of the 2025-26 season, Prajunpanich has now also matched the school record of eight career tournament wins. She joins Emily Dixon (2014-16) as just the second player in program history to earn eight tournament wins as a Penguin.

As a team, the Penguins finished with a single-round total of 292 to finish at four over par and defeat runner-up Westminster by 50 shots.
