WSU WOMENS GOLF FINSHES SEVENTH AT CENTRAL REGION PREVIEW

BLUE SPRINGS, MO. – The Winona State women’s golf team finished seventh overall at the Central Region Preview after posting the second-best score on day two.

The Warriors finished the tournament with the highest placement out of all present NSIC teams with a score of 612 (+36). Central Missouri took the top score card with a team score of 586 (+10) and the top golfer at the invitational was Lily Nelson from Henderson State with a card of 140 (-4).

Lindsey Lund was the top finisher for Winona State with a 151 (+7) scorecard finishing 20th and leading all golfers with a total of 28 pars. Megan Young carded a 154 (+10) and led the invitational with an average score of 4.63 (-3) on all par fives. Kelby Anderson finished her rounds with a score of 155 (+11) and was T5th in average scores on all par threes (3.00). Georgia Volley and Kessa Mara started the tournament with the top two team scores on day one and finished the tournament with 157 (+13) and 158 (+14).

Winona State will be in action next on Monday, September 15th in Hudson, Wis. for the Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Concordia-St. Paul.
