Hawks Place 2nd out of 3 Teams in Wintonbury Hills Try-Match

BLOOMFIELD, CONN. – The Hartford Women’s Golf Team hosted the Wintonbury Hills Tri-Match, a one round match between the Hawks, Suffolk University, and Vassar College. Hartford would place 2nd out of the three teams in the match.Β 

Rapid Recap:

  • Freshman Maris Brayan (Trumbull, Conn.) lead the Hawks in scoring shooting a 85 (+15) and placing fourth overall.Β 
  • Sophomore Gabby DeBenedetto (Southbury, Conn.) finished in 6th place overall with a 87 (+17)
  • Senior Charlee Nagle (Cheshire, Conn.) finished in ninth place shooting a 92 (+22).
  • Freshman Kendra St. Marie (Killingly, Conn.) and senior Tessa Susco (Plainville, Conn.) both finished in tenth place, shooting 94 (+24)

Inside the numbers:

  • Hartford finished the day with two birdies, with one from Brayan, and the other from BeneDetto.
  • Hartford had five finishers in the top ten (including Independent, freshman Lilly Sprister (Rutland, Mass.)).
