NEW YORK — Columbia will compete in the 2025 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship this Friday-Sunday at Rolling Green Golf Club in Springfield, Pennsylvania. The 54-hole stroke play event will see the league’s seven teams vie for the Ivy League crown.

Columbia’s starting lineup will include first-year Grant Lester, seniors Wyatt McGovern and William Sung, and juniors George Rubelsky and Darren Pang. Sophomore Hunter Po will be available as a substitute. Official pairings and first-round tee times will be released by the Ivy League following the introductory banquet on Thursday evening.

New this season, the top five individual finishes and ties from the event will be named to the All-Championship Team. All-Ivy League Teams, along with the major awards, will now be decided by a coaches’ vote in the week following the championship.

Lester has led the Lions in stroke average all season. Following a third-place finish last weekend in the Roar-EE Invitational, the rookie carries a 72.03 stroke average into this weekend’s championship. He owns four top-five finishes, seven top-10s and has finished among the top 25 in all but one of his 10 events.

McGovern boasts a 73.65 stroke average and has also played in all 26 competition rounds entering the weekend. He owns a pair of top-10s from the fall, finishing tied for fourth at The Doc Gimmler and tied for 10th to help the Lions win the Columbia Autumn Invitational. His spring includes top-20s at The Savannah Intercollegiate and the Princeton Invitational.

Juniors Pang and Rubelsky tied for 23rd last weekend in the Roar-EE Invitational with two-round totals of 5-over-par 149. Like Lester and McGovern, they have also competed in every competition round this season. Rubelsky’s season has been highlighted by a runner-up at the Columbia Autumn Invitational, where he carded a collegiate-best 54-hole score of 8-under-par 205.

Sung and Po have split time in Columbia’s No. 5 spot. Sung has seen the majority of those opportunities and competed in 23 competition rounds with a pair of top-25 finishes. Po has started twice this spring at the Daytona Beach Intercollegiate and the Columbia Spring Invitational.

The first round of the 2025 Ivy League Men’s Golf Championship tees off at 9 a.m. on Friday. Saturday’s second round is also scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Sunday’s final round will begin 30 minutes earlier at 8:30 a.m. Fans can find pairings and follow live scoring throughout the weekend on the College Golf Scoreboard, powered by Clippd.

The winning team will earn an automatic bid to represent the Ivy League at the 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Regionals. The 2025 NCAA Men’s Golf Selection Show is scheduled for Wednesday, April 30, at 1 p.m. ET, and will air live on the Golf Channel.
