Devils Beat Green Terror, but Fall to Diplomats in Tri-Match on Sunday

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Dickinson women’s golf team returned to action on Sunday afternoon by taking part in a tri-match hosted by Centennial Conference foe Franklin and Marshall College at Overlook Golf Club. The other combatant in the action was another conference rival in McDaniel College. Dickinson posted a 377-431 win over the Green Terror, while dropping a tough 351-377 decision to the host Diplomats.

Dickinson Team Results

The Red and White were led on the par 70 course by first-year Charlotte Anstine who took second with an impressive score of 83. Senior Marin Moore and rookie Lily Spanos came in within a stroke of each other posting 96 and 97 respectively. Sydney Fluhrer added a 101, while Claire Kingsbury fired a 110.

Dickinson Individuals

The Devils also played two athletes as individuals with Hannah DeMario carding a 95 and Diana Zeppos heading to the 19th-hole on 103.

Individual Winner

Sarah Wang of the host Franklin and Marshall claimed the title with a score of five-over 75.

    3) McDaniel – 431

Up Next

Dickinson will now have to wait until Saturday, October 4th for their next chance to face some competition when they host the Dickinson Fall Invitational at the Carlisle Barracks Golf Club beginning at 10:30am.
