Men’s Golf Finishes Tied For Seventh at Gettysburg Spring Shootout

Fayetteville, Pa. – The Stevens Institute of Technology men’s golf team tied for seventh at the Gettysburg Spring Shootout, which concluded on Saturday.
 

The Ducks shot a +14 on Saturday—the fourth-lowest score of the day. Gettysburg’s top team won the event with a +16, followed closely by Franklin & Marshall at +18.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Ben Slicker led the Ducks with a 12th-place finish, recording a +6 overall. On Saturday, he carded a +1 and registered five birdies on the afternoon. He was even on the back nine and played holes 10 through 14 at -3. Slicker birdied the par-5 10th, the par-4 12th, and the par-5 14th, while also adding birdies on holes one and three.
 
Brock Dickson tied for 20th with a +11. After shooting a +6 on Friday, he improved by one stroke with a 77 on Saturday. Dickson tallied three birdies, opening and closing the back nine with them. He added another birdie on the par-5 seventh. Dillon Kim placed 27th, just one shot behind Dickson. Kim was +1 on the front nine and birdied the seventh. He added another birdie on the par-3 17th.
 
Sebastian Beaver matched Kim at +12, recording a +1 on the day. Beaver played the front nine at even par, notching a birdie on the par-5 second. He added another on the 11th and played the first 14 holes at one under. Maxime Debets carded a +7 on Saturday for a +16 overall. He was solid on the back nine, finishing even par and notching back-to-back birdies on 10 and 11 before adding another on 15. Arav Tank rounded out the Ducks’ lineup, carding a +10 on the day.
 
UP NEXT

The Ducks will close out the regular season on Monday at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational in Lititz, Pa.
