The Mizzou men’s golf program moved up one spot in the team rankings on Monday, finishing the second round at 10-under to sit in third place at the Canadian Collegiate Invitational.

All four Tigers counting toward the team score finished under par on the day, led by three-under 69 tallies from senior Virgilio Paz and junior Bradley Mulder. Both carded seven birdies on the day as Paz moved up four spots to 12th overall at -4 (71-69) and Mulder was the team’s high riser on the day, moving up 13 spots at 30th place (77-69).

Overall, junior Veikka Viskari continues to lead the Tigers and chase his second top 10 in as many tournaments this season. He carded a two-under 70 and now sits in sixth place with a two-day score of -7 (67-70). Freshman Reese Roberts (73-70) matched Viskari at two-under on Monday and is now tied with sophomore Trent Mierl (70-73) in 19th place.

As a team, Mizzou’s 10-under score is its best tally in five rounds this season – topping the opening round by three strokes. Notre Dame leads the tournament at -25, followed by Michigan (-20), Mizzou (-17), UNC Wilmington (-13) and Miami University (-3).
