PAWLEY’S ISLAND, S.C. – The Ohio Women’s golf team returned to action at the GolfWeek Any Given Tuesday event, hosted by GolfWeek from March 31 to April 2 at Caledonia Golf and Fish Club. The Bobcats recorded an overall score of 902 (+50), with sophomore Morgan Rodgers (Centerville, Ohio) leading the team, finishing in a tie for 17th place.
Coastal Carolina captured the tournament title, followed by Middle Tennessee (+9) in second, Akron (+18) in third, Morehead State (+29) in fourth, and Evansville (+34) in fifth.
As a team, Ohio opened the tournament on Monday with a score of 295, followed by a 306 in the second round. The Bobcats concluded the event on Wednesday with a final-round score of 301.
Individually, Rodgers was Ohio’s top performer, posting scores of 71 and 76 in the first two rounds before finishing Wednesday with a 74. Her total score of 221 (+8) placed her in a tie for 17th out of 89 competitors.
Sophomore Zoe Luebbers (Cincinnati, Ohio) finished in a tie for 42nd. Luebbers opened with rounds of 76 and 78 before carding a tournament-low 74 in the final round, finishing with a total score of 228 (+15).
Meanwhile, junior Mackenzie McRee (Tucson, Arizona) and senior Sydney Longstreth both finished in a four-way tie for 50th. McRee shot rounds of 75, 79, and 76 for an overall score of 230 (+17), while Longstreth also finished at 230 (+17) with rounds of 73, 76, and 81.
Rounding out the lineup for Ohio, sophomore Anna Coccia (New Albany, Ohio) finished tied for 66th. Coccia posted scores of 84 and 76 before closing out the tournament with a 77, bringing her total to 237 (+24).
Competing as an individual, freshman Ally Turner (Miamisburg, Ohio) finished in 58th place. Turner opened with an 80 in the first round, followed by scores of 77 and 76, for a total of 233 (+20).
The Bobcats will return to the fairway on April 7-8 at the 2025 Colonel Classic. The two-day event, hosted by Eastern Kentucky, will take place at the University Club at Arlington in Richmond, Kentucky.
