PGA Championship live golf scores, results, highlights from Satuday’s Round 3 leaderboard

The PGA Championship continued on Friday at the pristine Quail Hollow Country Club, and some of the world’s best players found their way back into the tournament.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler shot -3 in the second round and Max Homa shot -7, tied for the best round on Friday. The former is playing in the PGA Championship for the first time since his dramatic arrest at Valhalla last year, and the latter is in contention for the first time with his new caddie, Bill Harke.

Heading into Saturday, the top of the leaderboard remains crowded. Jhonattan Vegas is in front at -8, leads followed by Matthieu Pavon, Matt Fitzpatrick and Si Woo Kim, who are all tied for second at -6. Scheffler and Homa lurk at -5.

PGA Championship updates, results, highlights from Saturday’s Round 3

(All times Eastern)

2:55 p.m.: Hisatsune has back-to-back birdies to improve to -6, while DeChambeau, Rahm and Noren all complete birdies to get to -5.

2:47 p.m.: Si Woo Kim birdies the fourth hole and he is the sole leader at -7 for the first time this weekend.

2:42 p.m.: Tony Finau has birdied three of his last five holes to rise to -5, just one back of the lead. Meanwhile, Scheffler birdies a par-3 himself to also pull within a shot.

2:39 p.m.: Fox follows his birdie with a bogey, dropping him to -4, while Ryo Hisatsune jumps up to -5 thanks to a birdie at 7.

2:31 p.m.: Vegas’ rough start continues with another bogey, putting Pavon, Fitzpatrick and Kim all tied for the lead.

2:24 p.m.: Ryan Fox makes a long birdie putt to improve to -5 on the tournament as the leaderboard begins to jumble.

2:18 p.m.: Maverick McNealy is -3 through five holes off the back nine to get him to -3 for the tournament, largely thanks to an eagle on 14.

2:08 p.m.: Vegas has a rough first hole resulting in a bogey, but he still has a one-shot lead in the tournament.

2:03 p.m.: J.T. Poston’s early birdie has him at -5, while Max Homa and Scottie Scheffler have both bogeyed the first hole.

1:57 p.m.: The final group has teed off as Jhonattan Vegas looks to maintain his lead on Saturday.

1:40 p.m.: Although Rory McIlroy and Xander Schauffle are nine-back of the leader, they are teeing off now on the tenth hole due to the adjusted tee times.

1:31 p.m.: A flurry of players have started strong on Saturday, as 11 players are now at -4 as the leaders prepare to tee off.

1:17 p.m.: Alex Noren joins the group at -4 after a birdie on two, as three players have now reached that mark today.

1:05 p.m.: Bryson DeChambeau birdies his first hole of the afternoon, putting him at -4 now along with Rahm, who has two birdies in his first four holes.

12:49 p.m.: Adam Scott and Viktor Hovland have also both produced early birdies to get to -3 early in the afternoon.

12:22 p.m.: Jon Rahm opens the day with a birdie to get to -3 as he looks to make a move on Saturday.

12:05 p.m.: Due to inclement weather later in the day, players will be playing in threesomes and all teeing off before 2:00 p.m.

PGA Championship updates, results, highlights from Friday’s Round 2

(All times Eastern)

7:00 p.m. — Scheffler has had a terrific back nine, dropping in birdies on No.’s 14 and 15, and is now tied for fifth.

6:45 p.m. —Si Woo Kim aces No. 6! He’s now in a tie for second.

5:56 p.m. — Smaller bogeys No. 17 to drop to -5. He’s now in a tie for third.

5:28 p.m.— Now Scheffler drops a shot by bogeying 13, but is still at -3 for the tournament.

5:22 p.m.— Ryan Gerard’s bogey on 18 drops him to -5, but he still has an entire nine to play today.

5:13 p.m.— Schauffle collects a birdie to get to +2, just one shot off of the projected cut line. McIlory, meanwhile, bogeys two straight to drop to +1.

4:49 p.m.-– Fitzpatrick birdies the 12th hole to get within two shots of the lead, putting him in a tie for second.

4:37 p.m.— McIlroy birdies another hole, and he is under par for the first time this tournament at -1. On the same hole, Schauffle gets his first birdie of the day as he fights to stay through the weekend.

4:31 p.m.— John Rahm is hanging around, as the two-time major champion is at -2 midway through his round on Friday.

4:16 p.m.— Matt Fitzpatrick joins a crowded group at -5 after his latest birdie, while Ben Griffin drops to -4 after a bogey.

4:03 p.m.— Scheffler and McIlroy are rolling, as they each birdie eight to get to -4 and even-par, respectively.

3:59 p.m.— Ben Griffin completes an eagle to get to -4 on the day, just six holes into his second round, and -5 for the tournament.

3:46 p.m.— Smalley collects another birdie to get to -7, just one back of Vegas for the top of the leaderboard.

3:42 p.m.— Amazingly, Schauffle pars seven despite finding the water to stay to shots back of the projected cut line. Meanwhile, McIlroy birdies seven to get to +1 and on the cut line himself.

3:33 p.m.– Xander Schauffle finds the water on seven, putting his chances at making the cut at risk as he is already at +3.

3:21 p.m.— Robert MacIntyre is making a move, as he has two straight birdies to move to -4 for the tournament.

3:04 p.m.— Alex Smalley followed a bogey with two birdies to get him to -6 and tied for second with three other players.

2:45 p.m.— Ryo Hisatsune has birdied three of his first six holes to get into a tie for second at -6.

2:39 p.m.— After his lucky break on 17, Vegas doubles 18 to drop back to -8 entering the weekend, but he’s still two ahead of Pavon for the lead.

2:36 p.m.— Scheffler responds by birdieing his next hole to get him to -3 for the tournament.

2:20 p.m.— Rory McIlroy makes his first birdie of the day on his second hole, putting him at +2 on the tournament as he looks to make the weekend. Scottie Scheffler, on the other hand, can’t follow suit as he starts par-par today.

2:04 p.m.–Vegas just caught a massive break on his drive at 16, hitting a rake that sent the ball in the direction of the hole and setting up a reasonable putt.

1:52 p.m.— Thorbjornsen bogeys back-to-back, dropping him from -6 to -4.

1:43 p.m.— DeChambeau bogeys his final hole of the day, putting him at -3 halfway through the PGA Championship.

1:36 p.m.— Victor Hovland has had a bumpy day, but he ends his round with a chip-in to get to -2 for the tournament.

1:26 p.m.— A DeChambeau birdie gets Bryson up to -4 with just a few holes left in his round.

1:21 p.m.: On the other end of the leaderboard, Jordan Spieth is in the clubhouse at +2 while the cut line is +1, putting him in danger of missing the weekend. He and Justin Thomas, who is +3 through two rounds, are two of many big names who struggled so far.

1:10 p.m.— Vegas keeps rolling as he reaches -10 with another birdie, making him -3 on the day.

1:04 p.m.— Aaron Rai hit a tree on 16, sending his ball backwards and leading to a double bogey to drop him back to -3.

12:40 p.m.— DeChambeau is quietly making his way up the leaderboard, as he is at -3 and has birdied four holes today for a -2 on the afternoon.

12:32 p.m.— Homa finishes his round at -5, the lowest number in the clubhouse and a strong position for him entering the weekend.

12:17 p.m.— Mathieu Pavon is separating from the pack as he produces another birdie to get to -6 on the afternoon and for the tournament.

12:11 p.m.— Second place is getting crowded as Thorbjonsen is back at -5, making it six different players tied for second place entering the afternoon.

11:51 a.m.— After falling back a shot, Homa gets the shot back with a birdie to put him in the second-place group.

11:33 a.m.–J.J. Spaun birdies the 14th hole to move into a tie for second place with Mathieu Pavon and Ryan Gerard.

11:19 a.m.— Thorbjornsen and Rai both produce bogeys to drop a shot, further separating Vegas from the pack.

11:05 a.m.— Vegas adds to his lead with a birdie on seven as the leader is back up to -7 and even on the day.

10:52 a.m.— Homa misplays a chip on the par-3 fourth to drop a shot back, his first bogey of the day.

10:41 a.m.— Simultaneous birdies by Homa and Michael Thorbjornsen has them both at -5 and just one back of Vegas for the lead.

10:34 a.m.— Mathieu Pavon and J.J. Spaun have both jumped up to -4 on the tournament, putting them just two shots back of the leader.

10:24 a.m.— The 18th hole is proving to be a major factor in this tournament, as there have already been six doubles today. The latest belongs to Morikawa, who drops two shots after scoring a six on his ninth hole.

10:16 a.m.— Tyrell Hatton was tied for second, but a triple bogey on his ninth hole of the day has him falling in the leaderboard. 

10:13 a.m.— Cam Davis drops a shot after missing a par putt on 11, dropping him back to the crowded group at -4.

10:00 a.m.— Morikawa and Homa are on the move as both have jumped up to -4, just two-back of Vegas for the lead. For Homa, it came on a chip-in on his ninth hole to cap off a a strong first nine where he shot -6.

9:44 a.m.– Jhonattan Vegas, the leader wnetering Friday, drops a shot on his second hole after missing a par putt, but he still leads by one.

9:31 a.m.— Collin Morikawa is off to a good start in his second round, as he is -2 through five holes thus far for a tournament score of -3.

9:19 a.m. — Cam Smith had a tough Thursday, shooting 78, but he started his second round well with an eagle chip-in on his first hole of the day.

8:58 a.m. — Max Homa was one of the few back-nine starts for the second round. He took advantage, eagling the 347-yard par-4. Homa missed a hole-in-one on the par-4 by about a foot. 

8:50 a.m. — Jordan Spieth is looking to complete the career grand slam with a win at the 2025 PGA Championship. After posting a 3-over from the first round, he started his second round with a much-needed eagle on No. 10.  

PGA Championship updates, results, highlights from Thursday’s Round 1

(All times Eastern)

6:00 p.m. — Justin Thomas chips in a beauty on No. 15.

5:30 p.m. — Cam Davis has moved into the lead at Quail Hollow. He’s at -6 through 15 holes.

4:25 p.m. — Eric Cole aces No. 4!

3:55 p.m. — Justin Rose drops in a birdie from long distance on No. 5. He was the 2025 Masters runner-up and is looking to win his second career major.\

3:45 p.m. — Bryson DeChambeau has started his first round. He’s looking to capture the PGA Championship for the first time in his career.

3:30 p.m. — The crowd has started to swell beneath Gerard, with five gofers tied for second at 4-under.

3:00 p.m.  — Tyler Collet was so very close to notching an ace on No. 13. After seeing his effort spurn the hole, he’ll just have to settle for a birdie instead.

2:40 p.m. — JJ Spaun has quietly put forth quite the showing at Quail Hollow, climbing up the leaderboard with steady putting a strong drives.

2:15 p.m. — Gerard ends his day with a 66, the best score of the round thus far. Not bad for a hometown kid in his first full-time season as a member of the Tour.

2:00 p.m. — Jordan Spieth is now on the links, having just started his day. A win at Quail Hollow would give him the much-vaunted career Grand Slam.

1:30 pm. — Gerard has sole possession of first place. Chipped an audacious eagle on 15 to move three strokes clear of Donald in first at seven-under-par.

1:10 p.m. — It’s been a modest first round for Jon Rahm, who wrapped up his display with a par on 18. He carded a 70 in his first 18 holes, although his back nine proved a little more challenging; he tallied four bogeys in that spell.

12:40 p.m. — Another player making his way up the leaderboard? American Ryan Gerard. The 25-year old notched four straight birdies to pull level with Jaeger at five-under. Impressive showing for the North Carolina alum; he came into this weekend’s tournament with just two major tournament appearances, both of which ended in ashes.

12:30 p.m. — Stephan Jaeger is making waves as he works his way through the back nine. After finding his target for birdie on Nos. 14 and 15, he’s down to five-under-par, the best score on the course thus far.

11:55 a.m. — Scores have started to stabilize across the board, with a few notable exceptions. Fox and Alex Noren have emerged as the two top names to beat, positng dueling 4-under-pars thus far.

11:25 a.m. — Shane Lowry has made a major splash in his past few holes. After struggling through his first nine holes, Lowry’s back in respectable territory after sinking not one but two birdies on successive apparatuses — the last of which came from 68 feet out. He’s down to one-over-par on the day.

10:55 a.m. — It’s been a nightmarish front nine for three-time PGA Championship winner Brooks Koepka, who suffered a double bogey at No. 9. He sits at 3-over-par.

10:25 a.m.  Scottie Scheffler pulls into one stroke of the lead with a sumptuous eagle on No. 15.

9:55 a.m. — Fox and Fleetwood have a little company at the top of the totem pole. Keegan Bradley, Matt Fitzpatrick, Luke Donald, Nico Echavarria and Rasmus Hojgaard have all climbed up to 3-under par amid a barrage of birdie putts.

9:45 a.m. — Tommy Fleetwood joins the party at the top of the leaderboard, as well, pulling level with Fox at 3-under par after a starring showing at No. 5.

9:40 a.m. — Alex Smalley pulls into a tie for second place after canning a birdie on No. 16. Not the easiest feat on the 529-foot behemoth.

8:55 a.m. — Just a few days after qualifying, Ryan Fox is the early leader at 3-under par. 

8:45 a.m. — Rory McIlroy is off and running with a birdie on his first hole of the tournament. 

8:15 a.m. — Ryan Fox is off to the hottest start of the players with early tee times, birdying his first and fourth holes at No. 10 and No. 13, respectively, to become the first to 2-under par.

8:10 a.m. — 3-time champion Brooks Koepka bogeys his first hole with a six on No. 10. Not the start he was looking for.

8:05 a.m. — It’s 69 degrees and sunny at Quail Hollow, near-perfect conditions at the start of this PGA Championship, with temperatures expected to get all the way up to 86 today.

The two rounds of the PGA Championship will air exclusively on ESPN. Rounds 3 and 4 will air partially on ESPN and partially on CBS.
